Sub_Trakt - interaktive Raum- und Klanginstallation

The Location

Sub_Trakt was designed for presentation in public spaces and/or locations with a high transit frequency.
The first presentation of SUB_TRAKT took place in the "Lichthöfe", the areaways of the HfG Karlsruhe.

The areaways are located in the center of the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe (HfG) inbetween the Museum für Neue Kunst (MNK) on the north side and the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) on the south side.
Not only staff and students of the HfG cross the areaways daily, visitors of the museums also transit these halls on their way.

Located next to the cafeteria and inbetween two main entrances "Lichthof 3" is the hall with the most traffic volume. Some people spend a lot of time in this space, others choose the shortest and quickest way through. The movements in this hall are the base material for SUB_TRAKT.
